Community privacy
Czulture uses the same account records as Clout. Czulture and Clout share a sign-in session using a secure account cookie.
What is stored
Account details, community memberships, posts, replies and reactions are stored in the shared database. Posts, replies and usernames are public. Membership and reaction records identify your account; this interface shows counts rather than public member lists.
Security and operational records help protect accounts and moderate content. Theme, motion and music-volume preferences are saved in your browser. Thread presence uses a hashed session identifier, expires after 45 seconds of inactivity, and typing indicators convey only that someone is typing, never unsent text. View totals count browser sessions rather than unique people. Session-view records persist; presence rows are cleaned after two minutes and animation event records after one day when active thread heartbeats run. Emoji artwork may load from Google; optional music streams from OpenGameArt after you press Play. Those hosts receive ordinary network information such as your IP address. Session cookies keep you signed in.
Cultures, scenes and threads
Cultures are broad categories. A scene and a subculture are two names for the same community within a culture, with the same /sc/ address and membership. Individual conversations are threads.
Your people and presence
Following, friend requests, accepted friendships and your personal hidden-thread list are stored in the shared database. Hidden threads remain visible to other people. Online sharing and friend-arrival popups are off by default. If you enable online sharing, accepted friends can see your recent active status, portrait and Shapeski; following alone does not grant that access. Online status uses an active-page heartbeat, expires after about one minute and can be switched off in Czulture account preferences. Old online rows are cleaned after two minutes when presence checks run. Thread authors can see current reaction, reply and browser-session view totals; these are not unique-user reach or historical trends.
Owner analytics
The site owner can view aggregate current memberships, published thread/reply counts, membership overlap and accepted-friendship group sizes to understand participation and community connections. The analytics page is restricted to the owner, does not display individual relationship lists, and does not report historical visits, retention or inferred personal traits.
Community feedback
Signed-in members can answer polls and submit suggestions. Each poll stores one current answer per account; changing an answer replaces the previous choice. Aggregate poll results are public and count active accounts. Suggestions, their category and account identity are saved for private owner review, not published as public posts. Do not include sensitive personal information in suggestions.
Removing content
Removing a post or reply hides it from public view; the underlying record is retained. Full community account export and erasure tools are not yet implemented.
Do not put private information in public posts. For questions or data requests, contact hello@bhavczar.com.
